Artist Spotlight: Sharon Spencer

We are only about six weeks away from this year’s Froggwell Biennale at the legendary Froggwell Garden in beautiful Freeland WA! Just a reminder that the show is August 5-7, form 10 AM to 5 PM all three days. The cards have just arrived (and look beautiful!) and will be heading out in a couple weeks.

One of the sculptors that have been with us for at least three or four shows, is Sharon Spencer. Sharon is always a much sought after artist at Froggwell, as well as the other shows she participates in.

Here is a report from Sharon:

I will be having a show in July with Keiichi Nishimura at the Rob Schouten Gallery.  I will be featuring  Bronze and Mixed Media Sculptures and Keiichi will feature Silk Paintings. The opening will be July 1st from 5 to 7 and the show will run thru July.

In August I will be participating in the glorious Froggwell show !

In September I will be participating in a show in Calif. over Labor day.  I have been part of this show since 1976.

The best part is…….I will be picking up a PUPPY on my way home…….I am so excited at the thought of having a ‘’fur person’’ back in my life !

While Sharon is well known for her bronze and stone sculptures, in recent years she has been experimenting with mixed media sculptures, using a variety of materials.
